CNN fired Rick Sanchez today following controversial comments he made during a Thursday Sirius radio show Thursday, where he called Jon Stewart a “bigot” and said that his employer and other networks are run by Jewish people.
Sanchez commented, “I think to some extent Jon Stewart and [Stephen] Colbert are the same way. I think Jon Stewart’s a bigot. I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I’m so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine.”Read the rest of this entry »
Jon Stewart was on David Letterman last night and we finally got the inside word on that whole Letterman/Oprah feud. Watch the video clip, where Letterman explains to Jon Stewart how a joke on Oprah to have her pick up his lunch tab started it all.
