Looks like it’s a Gosselin news kind of day, y’all. As a result of Jon Gosselin’s cease and desist order against TLC to stop production on “Kate Plus 8,” TLC had no choice but to suspend filming/production on the reality series formerly known as “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”

Following the news that Jon Gosselin is trying to shut down production of “Kate Plus 8,” PerezHilton.com got the scoop from Gosselin’s manager, who says this is not a tactic to get more money fro TLC.

Jon Gosselin’s manager, Mike Heller, tells Perez: “Jon Gosselin is the new David and TLC is the new Goliath. Jon is empowered by his new attorney, Mark Jay Heller, to take back control of his family. Even if it means the revenue stream will be cut off. Jon’s priority is family not money. THIS IS NOT A NEGOTIATION TACTIC TO get more money from TLC.”

Jon Gosselin is now trying to shut down “Kate Plus 8″ production (formerly “Jon and Kate Plus 8″) by taking legal action.
