This week’s American Idol elimination wasn’t much of a surprise — Jason Castro was eliminated on the May 7 American Idol results show.

Syesha Mercado and Jason Castro landed in the bottom two, but as Jason Castro said, he shot the tambourine man.

Randy said he’s not in the zone tonight; Paula said he blows her away; Simon said to pack his suitcase.

Randy said it was really karaoke, just okay; Paula said he performed more to the audience than he ever has, but she wasn’t crazy about the song; Simon said it was atrocious.

Randy said it was just okay, not the best; Paula thought it was too safe; Simon thought he struggled through and it was forgettable.

Randy thought it was a little bit of a train wreck vocally; Paula thought it was a wise choice for him; Simon felt like the longest two minutes and thought he was miserable throughout it.
