Folks are divided about what Roger Ebert posted to Twitter, with the majority noting it was really insensitive to Dunn’s family and friends… but others are saying he’s absolutely right.

In his defense, Ebert tweeted a response to a post from Perez Hilton: “Perez Hilton’s readers agree with me and not with Perez about my tweet on Ryan Dunn. He drank, he drove, 2 people died.”

Facebook removed Roger Ebert’s page after the Ryan Dunn remarks and subsequent heated comments.

Ebert tweeted: “Facebook has removed my page in response, apparently, to malicious complaints from one or two jerks.”

He added: “Facebook! My page is harmless and an asset to you. Why did you remove it in response to anonymous jerks? Makes you look bad.”

Jackass co-star Bam Margera fired back at Roger Ebert, tweeting: “I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of s**t roger ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents about a jackass drunk driving and his (sic) is one, f**k you! Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat f**king mouth!”

Ebert has since apologized on his website, saying, “To begin with, I offer my sympathy to Ryan Dunn’s family and friends, and to those of Zachary Hartwell, who also died in the crash. I mean that sincerely. It is tragic to lose a loved one.”

Ebert added, “I also regret that my tweet about the event was considered cruel. It was not intended as cruel. It was intended as true.”

While Roger Ebert stands by his statement about drinking and driving, he says of the Dunn remark: “I don’t know what happened in this case, and I was probably too quick to tweet. That was unseemly.”

I’m not sure I believe this rumor until I see the full Dancing with the Stars celebrity lineup – be on the lookout for the official DWTS announcement during the Grammys on Sunday night.

Johnny Knoxville was able to make his flight on time – he was detained, cited for carrying a replica of a weapon and released.

After seeing “Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Addiction Special” on VH1 News, I figured it was time to put something out there for you all. I expected my part on that show to be much harder to watch than it wound up being. It made me want to explain a little bit of what I’ve been going through since I got clean, to help some of you understand how much damage drugs and alcohol have really done to me. I’ve now been clean for 115 days, and I’m, again, in a mental institution. I did so much cocaine, ketamine, pcp, nitrous oxide, and all sorts of other drugs, that, quite simply, my brain is fucked up.
