“How I Met Your Mother” is all about the guest stars as of late. Following in Britney Spears’ footsteps, “Dawson’s Creek” star James Van Der Beek is set to make a guest starring appearance on HIMYM.
Look for James Van Der Beek in the “Robin Sparkles” episode, where he’ll play crush to the Canadian pop star.
Britney Spears done good. Well, if her acting wasn’t all that on “How I Met Your Mother” (and honestly, it wasn’t), the guest starring role did give HIMYM its highest rating ever.

The news that Britney Spears will guest star on “How I Met Your Mother” apparently didn’t set well with Alicia Silverstone, who was to appear on the same episode as Britney.
As a result, Alicia Silverstone has bailed and “Scrubs” star Sarach Chalke (seen here in the Hanes Wedgie Free underwear ad) will replace Silverstone, playing a dermatologist. Britney Spears is set to play the dermatologist’s assistant. Read the rest of this entry »
