Sure, Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainers of the Year list encompasses all things entertainment, but since this is TV Crunch, we thought we’d highlight some of the TV entertainers who made the cut.

“The Sopranos” – While it’s the end of the road for “The Sopranos,” doesn’t the show that’s given us so much deserve as much love as possible? Read the rest of this entry »
The El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles held a special premiere party for the DVD release of High School Musical and Ashley Tisdale showed up looking cute as heck and spent some time hanging around with Manly, the Yorkie who plays Boi.
Meanwhile, Zack and Vanessa were nauseatingly adorable together! ADORABLE, I say!

Remember how fun VH1’s Pop Up Videos were? Disney is finding yet another way to spin the “High School Musical 2” machine by adding fun pop up facts throughout the latest airing of the tween hit. Look for trivia and behind-the-scenes info during this Friday’s showing at 8PM. If you’re not completely burned out on all things “HSM,” then it may be worth a look.

Is Vanessa Hudgens going to be in “High School Musical 3″ or not? While it’s unclear if Hudgens has signed a contract yet, she told People magazine at the American Music Awards that she is “so very excited.” Adding, “To do a third one for the big screen, I can’t begin to think how much fun we’ll have.”
She also commented that although “only a few people have actually signed the contracts … We’re all definitely on board.” Phew. So, that Vanessa Hudgens naked picture scandal didn’t seem to have any ill effects on planning a third “High School Musical.” We can all breathe easier. Read the rest of this entry »

The ever-popular Disney Channel original, “High School Musical,” has become an ice show. And according to The New York Times, it’s not half bad. I suppose worse ideas could be transposed to the ice, so it doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch for the teenybopper fare of “High School Musical” to be spun into an ice show.
“High School Musical – The Ice Tour” may be making its way to a city near you. The Times reviews the show, saying “’Romeo and Juliet’ it’s not.” The reviewer sums the “HSM” following up well by conceding, “’High School Musical’” in whatever form remains entertaining.” The ice show is a compilation of both “High School Musical” and “High School Musical 2.”

Recently, nude pictures of Vanessa Hudgens, 18-year-old star of Disney’s “High School Musical” surfaced on the internet. At first, Disney appeared to be standing behind their actress, but now Disney has officially decided to give Vanessa the boot. She will not be asked to return for the third of the High School Musical series. Instead, one of the Cheetah girls – either Adrienne Baillon or Sabrina Bryan (Dancing With the Stars) will be asked to take her place.
That’s probably a wise decision. I can’t imagine that parents would be too thrilled to go our and buy the film given recent circumstances. It’s a good move on Disney’s part – financially, but a part of me thinks they should have stood behind their actress.
According to Style Crunch, High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens is the lateset celebrity to sign on as a spokesperson for Skechers shoes. Apparently she signed a $1 million contract with the company.

High School Musical 3 is set to start filming this coming Winter in January. Currently hopes are that the cast will remain the same. Possible working titles are kind of lame (High School Musical 3: Gradu-Dancin and Haunted High School Musical) so hopefully those will be changed.
