Wow, look how much Miley Cyrus has accomplished — and she just turned 15 yesterday! She celebrated her birthday in her hometown, giving a concert for 15,000 people in Nashville.

Miley Cyrus and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, are hoping to make the “Hannah Montana” film in Tennessee. They’re just waiting for state officials to sign off on the venture. With the film expected to start shooting in April and a release date of early 2009, time’s ticking to get their location lined up. Since the movie takes place in Tennessee, it only makes sense to film it there, and according to daddy Cyrus, “The thing of it is, Walt Disney really wants to film this movie in Tennessee.”

And of course, the state of Tennessee could get a bump in tourism if the wildly successful “Hannah Montana” was shot there. Perry Gibson, executive director of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission, said, “It would mean a real impact on tourism and it would be a family friendly film that would come to the state.”

Oprah’s Miley Cyrus interview on Wednesday was a hit – and hungry “Hannah Montana” fans got more than enough details about the talented teenager.

Cyrus discussed her parents, including dad and “Hannah Montana” co-star Billy Ray Cyrus, boys and dating. Overall, dad said he doesn’t worry about Miley — “She’s got a great head on her shoulders.”

The big thrill was when Cyrus surprised 100 unsuspecting fans who thought they were there for a contest. Cyrus told Oprah, “I recommend earplugs,” right before the girls erupted in screams.

In the interview, Cyrus sounds pretty grounded, saying:
“I try my hardest just to stay grounded because I have, you know, all these different kinds of people that are older than me trying to tell me what to do. I just have to say be true to yourself. Be a kid. Grow up slowly.”

Some crazy woman in Indiana paid $13,000 for “Hannah Montana” tickets. The burning question is why? Could this teenybopper be worth the high ticket price? Apparently Miley Cyrus has people working any angle to score tickets. The Indianapolis woman was the top bidder at an auction from a local radio station. Anything to make her kids happy, I suppose.

Wow, that’s commitment. Jody Powell, 35, competed against 20 other contestants for a shot at winning tickets to the sold out “Hannah Montana” concert in Tampa. They each placed a hand on a 400-pound statue at radio station WFLZ-FM – last one standing earned the tickets. They were given 12-minute breaks every three hours and were fed, but not allowed iPods, cell phones or books.

In the end, it was Powell who (after six days) won tickets for his fiancée and her 7-year-old daughter, Hannah. He and the runner-up made a deal during the competition and Powell split the win, giving the second-to-last standing participant half of the $5,000 cash prize and two backstage passes.

“Hannah Montana” fans are up in arms – as a result, they’re suing the tween-friendly singer’s fan club. The Miley Cyrus Fan Club was supposed to provide members with priority concert tickets, but many fans were left empty handed. A New Jersey woman filed the suit on behalf of fan club members that did not get priority ticket privileges for the sold-out “Best of Both Worlds Tour.” Apparently, the concert is so in demand that shows have sold out in four minutes.

The members of the lawsuit are seeking triple damages and attorneys’ fees. According to the plantiff’s attorney, “They deceptively lured thousands of individuals into purchasing memberships into the Miley Cyrus Fan Club.” The fan club is $29.95 per year.
