Looks like “The Moment of Truth” is a ratings winner — after just two showings of the tell-the-truth game show, Fox has ordered 13 additional episodes.
With an “American Idol” lead-in, the numbers have been impressive, making “The Moment of Truth” the season’s top-rated new show.
“The Moment of Truth” is casting more people to sit in the hot seat because a bunch of folks who had signed on decided to jump ship. I guess getting caught in a lie on national television didn’t sit well with them?
Did you catch “The Moment Of Truth” last night on Fox? Eh, kind of interesting, but a little slow-moving in my opinion. The first victim… er… contestant was Ty Keck, an ex-football player and now personal trainer. The questions reveal an awful lot about the contestants and all they need to do is tell the truth to get the payoff.
Ty Keck answered some controversial questions and some downright goofy ones, like “Did you ever sneak a peek at another player’s privates while taking a shower?” Come on. Read the rest of this entry »
Have you seen the promos for “The Moment of Truth,” the new game show on Fox? “The Moment of Truth” requires contestants to tell the whole truth in front of an audience and the viewers, as well as family, friends and co-workers.
Contestants are confronted with pretty tough questions, including, “Did you ever think your spouse might be gay?” and “Do fat people repulse you?” Read the rest of this entry »

If you loved the movie “The Running Man,” Sci Fi has a reality/game show for you, called “Run for Money.” It very closely shadows the game involved in the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. Well, sort of.
“Run for Money” is a new competition “that pits a group of contestants against each other in the quest for cash prizes, while being stalked by relentless ‘hunters,’” according to a Sci Fi network press release. Also in the press release, the show takes place “over 60 minutes of real time in various landmark locations. As the clock winds down, the competition gets harder as more hunters appear on the streets, the game perimeter gets smaller, and tasks are assigned that test fraying nerves. Contestants earn money for every second they ‘stay alive’ and may opt out at their choosing. If they keep playing and are overrun by a hunter, they lose everything. The last person standing takes the prize.”
