
FX has cancelled Morgan Spurlock’s unscripted series “30 Days,” the network confirmed on Thursday. 30 Days aired for three seasons on FX, but was not picked up for a fourth.
30 Days was an interesting experiment – immersing a person or group of people in an unfamiliar lifestyle of culture for a month. This included looks at jail, living on minimum wage and working in a coal mine, among other episodes.

It’s always great to see Michael J. Fox back on the small screen. Look for Michael J. Fox to appear in a guest starring role on four episdodes of the FX series “Rescue Me,” playing a wheelchair-bound character.
Michael J. Fox told Entertainment Tonight, “The funny part is me playing a paralyzed guy because I am the opposite of paralyzed. It’s tricky just to even just to be still.”

Denis Leary is an asshole – that’s sort of his schtick. But in his new book, “Why We Suck: A Feel-Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy and Stupid,” Denis Leary pushes the envelope too far when he blames “inattentive mothers” for autism and says that kids diagnosed with autism are “stupid” or “lazy.”
Likely, Denis Leary won’t be making too many friends with his take on autism. But he’s defnitely getting plenty of attention for his book. Read the rest of this entry »

Aw, say it ain’t so. FX has canceled The Riches after just two seasons.
While I loved seeing Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver play con-artists on The Riches, I have to admit that this drama piled up on my DVR and I got so behind I had to give up on the show. Read the rest of this entry »

Sons of Anarchy on FX has definitely been one new show called out as a must see. The biker drama just got picked up for a second season, after just five episodes have aired.
Sons of Anarchy has been a ratings winner, averaging 5.4 million viewers weekly and 3.5 million adults 18-49. Sons of Anarchy is FX’s most successful series since Rescue Me.

The critically acclaimed and often over-the-top series Nip/Tuck has been cancelled by FX.
Fans don’t have to worry that Nip/Tuck is leaving the airwaves forever though. Eight new episodes that were filmed for season 5 (but interrupted by the strike) will air in January 2009 and a 19-episode sixth seaon will wrap in 2011.
