The new season kicks off a few days after Jax’s son Abel was kidnapped, and promises to continue the dramatic storytelling.

Metacritic has given the Sons of Anarchy season 3 a score of 81.

Damages’ third season wrapped in April and most fans assumed the series would be cancelled.

Look for the next season Damages to air next summer; Glenn Close and Rose Byrne are both confirmed to return to the series.

“Wilfred” is a mixed-breed dog described as “part Labrador retriever and part Russell Crowe on a bender,” who is at the center of a story involving a guy (Wood) and a girl.

Louis C.K. stops by The Daily Show to give host Jon Stewart the giggles, apparently, in this June 16 video clip. Louis’ new series looks like it’ll be hilarious… check out the premiere of “Louie,” June 29 at 11 p.m. on FX.

Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan says of Maura Tierney’s return: “We loved working with her — that was kind of a big deal to get her. We have a deal where we can use her for four episodes. And since we have that deal, we will take advantage of it.”

Tierney was to play a role in Parenthood, but had to drop out of the NBC drama for breast cancer treatment.

According to her rep: “She has finished treatment and is doing very well and is happy to move forward with the next phase of her life.”

Nip/Tuck made its TV debut in the summer of 2003.

Nip/Tuck fans will likely see a more subtle finale episode than others that have aired over the series’ run.

FX President and General Manager John Landgraf says of the series finale, “If you think about ‘Nip/Tuck,’ it had plastic surgery on child-molesting drug dealers, and alligators eating dead bodies, and John Hensley’s character performing an auto circumcision. But it also had this really tender material. I think as [series creator] Ryan sought to hold onto his audience and give his audience what he thought they wanted, the show got bigger and bigger over time. But I’m really glad he returned to the smaller and more tender side of the show’s roots, because I think it was the only way to create a satisfying finale.”

Sons of Anarchy is the highest-rated basic cable drama this year, so no big surprise that FX is bringing it back.

Series creator Kurt Sutter also signed a two-year deal to continue as showrunner, so sounds like the fourth season renewal is a lock too.

The finale of “Sons of Anarchy” grabbed 4.3 million viewers.

FX president-general manager John Landgraf said of the renewal: “The success of’ Sons of Anarchy’ is very gratifying and the show has become a bona-fide hit. The critics have recognized ‘Sons’ as one the best series on television, and the show has earned its place alongside FX’s great drama series.”
