Will you watch the season premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia?

The current season finale of Rescue Me airs Tuesday, September 1.

Details about how FX will wrap up Rescue Me is not quite firmed up, with the network determining if they will air the last episodes in two different seasons of 10 and nine episodes (or nine one season and 10 the final season).

Cast and crew will begin production on the final episodes of Rescue Me in September.

Here’s the kookiest part – the Nip/Tuck finale won’t air until 2011 at the end of the series’ final season (the final 19 episodes have already been shot).

John Hensley, who played Matt on Nip/Tuck commented, “I feel we’ve reached a creative impasse with regards to what we can do with this story. I feel like it was, quite frankly, told a long time ago. I say that trying to be right-sized about this because I am very grateful for this opportunity. I just feel that we were a show that was very good and innovative at one point and we’ve gone the way of so many shows before us. Our moment has passed.”

But was Danny DeVito drunk or just playing around?

The Danny DeVito interview went down on Wednesday, with reports that the actor was drinking and seemed to be drunk, however, DeVito said the Philly morning show chat was a goof, telling Radaronline.com, “I was only trying to make a TV interview fun. In the scene the TV people were covering, my character was drinking (pretend beer). When you see the scene on the show – and buy the DVD! – you will understand. It’s called acting.”

30 Days was an interesting experiment – immersing a person or group of people in an unfamiliar lifestyle of culture for a month. This included looks at jail, living on minimum wage and working in a coal mine, among other episodes.

Michael J. Fox told Entertainment Tonight, “The funny part is me playing a paralyzed guy because I am the opposite of paralyzed. It’s tricky just to even just to be still.”

Likely, Denis Leary won’t be making too many friends with his take on autism. But he’s defnitely getting plenty of attention for his book.

Denis Leary, who stars on “Rescue Me” says in his book:

“There is a huge boom in autism right now because inattentive mothers and competitive dads want an explanation for why their dumb-ass kids can’t compete academically, so they throw money into the happy laps of shrinks . . . to get back diagnoses that help explain away the deficiencies of their junior morons. I don’t give a [bleep] what these crackerjack whack jobs tell you – yer kid is NOT autistic. He’s just stupid. Or lazy. Or both.”

Naturally, the Autism Society of America released a statement to set Denis Leary straight, saying:

“For Mr. Leary to suggest that families or doctors conspire to falsely diagnose autism is ridiculous . . . [His] remarks reflect the same misconceptions of autism being caused by bad or unemotional parenting that were held over 50 years ago.”

While I loved seeing Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver play con-artists on The Riches, I have to admit that this drama piled up on my DVR and I got so behind I had to give up on the show.

Last week, co-star Todd Stashwick announced on his MySpace page that “The Riches has been canceled,” but an FX spokesperson confirmed the news yesterday.

Sons of Anarchy has been a ratings winner, averaging 5.4 million viewers weekly and 3.5 million adults 18-49. Sons of Anarchy is FX’s most successful series since Rescue Me.
