Is there any gig that Miley Cyrus won’t turn down these days? It seems like she is everywhere — and why not? All of that hard work is definitely paying off in a big way.

This Sunday, February 10, Miley Cyrus will appear on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, as the Kansas City family involved in the makeover are given tickets to the Hannah Montana show in San Diego while their home is being renovated.

But that’s not all — the Gilyeat family gets to go backstage to meet Hannah Montana herself, Miley Cyrus!

Did you catch the 100th episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” last night? Hard to believe that host Ty Pennington has been screaming through a bullhorn for 100 episodes, huh?

The special two-hour episode, like others during the five seasons that “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” has been on the air, was full of tearful moments by the Swenson-Lee family who received the new home and the cast of the show. Clips of other families the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” team has helped over the years were also part of the 100th episode.

Poverty Not a Requirement for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”

Quintin Strack, the casting director for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” is setting the record straight. A common misconception about the show is that only very poor people who can’t afford a new home are considered for the series. According to Strack, “We have to be conscious of what we’re doing. We can’t give someone a big house knowing full well they can’t afford to keep it.”

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s” producers do thorough financial background checks, which Strack says “is the same as if you were applying for a job at the FBI.” The show also seeks participants who are “going to stay rooted in their community and pass their blessings on to other people.”

Lt. Andy Baldwin from the most recent Bachelor show also volunteered on Extreme Makeover Home Edition; the episode airs September 23rd.

He hasn’t been seen in public with his fiancee Tessa Horst from the Bachelor in over a month. What? A reality show couple not working out?! No way!

Ty Pennington Sentenced To Three Years Probation For DUI Arrest

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” host Ty Pennington was sentenced to 36 months probation, fined $1,500 and ordered to attend a 90-day alcohol education program after pleading no contest to driving under the influence of alcohol, Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan announced on Friday.

The former TLC star was arrested in the Marina Del Rey section of Los Angeles on May 5th, his blood-alcohol level was .14 percent.

“I’m happy to bring closure to my recent court proceedings,” the energetic carpenter said in a statement.

“Drinking and driving is never acceptable. I have pleaded no contest and will abide by the court’s ruling. I hope this experience can help others as much as it has helped me.”

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” star Ty Pennington was arrested early Saturday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs while driving. Ty was arrested at 12:35 AM and was released two hours later after posting $5000 bail.
