Wow. After 15 years on the air, ER is shutting down with its series finale airing tonight, April 2 on NBC. Watch the ER series finale promo video for a preview of the last episode.

Did you catch George Clooney’s return to ER last night, March 12? I haven’t watched ER in years, but tuned in for a glimpse of Clooney, which included this snuggly ending scene with Julianna Margulies (video). The return of Clooney, Margulies and the exchanges between Eriq La Salle and Noah Wylie made for some good television.

George Clooney returns to TV! Check out Clooney’s return as Dr. Doug Ross on the March 12 episode of ER.

Look for Julianna Margulies and George Clooney to reunite, as well as Susan Sarandon guest starring on the March 12 episode.

ER’s executive producer John Wells said of Clooney’s return as Dr. Doug Ross: “If you’re a fan of ER, you won’t want to miss this one.”

ER’s series finale will air April 2.

Rumor Control: Larry David and Sherry Stringfield Dating? Vanity Fair Oscar Party Couple

Last night at the post-Oscars Vanity Fair party, Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Larry David was accompanied by his date, Sherry Stringfield. Are Larry David and former ER star Sherry Stringfield dating, or were they just there as friends?

Guess we’ll have to see how this rumor unfolds.

Juliana Margulies Guest Starring on ER? Anthony Edwards Thinks So

George Clooney is returning to ER during the final season… so why not Julianna Margulies? While nothing has been confirmed by her camp, original ER cast member Anthony Edwards thinks she’ll be back.

Anthony Edwards told Usmagazine.com, “Of course! I have nothing to base that on, but I think it will happen. All of us had the experience in the last 15 years of being stopped everyday because we were in people’s living rooms every Thursday night. That happened to me all over the world. The show was that effective.”

George Clooney to be Guest on Ellen DeGeneres January 19

Ellen DeGeneres’ hard work to get George Clooney to be a guest on her talk show has finally paid off. She got George!

Apparently, despite her best attempts at sending hot women, Chippendales dancers and a Rose Parade marching band to his bungalow on the lot, George’s excuse for the no-show was that he’s “been busy.”

ER’s Noah Wylie suggested Ellen invite former Cincinnati Reds stars Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench to get George on her show – and it worked!

ER Final Season Extended – Three Episodes Added

It’s going to be hard for ER fans to say goodbye to the long running drama series – but you’re gonna catch a break! ER has been extended by three episodes for its 15th and final season!

The additional three episodes of ER will extend the series from 19 episodes to 22 for its final season.

Two-Hour ER Finale Set for March 12

We have an end date in sight for the series finale of ER – tune in for the 2-hour finale March 12 to see how the medical drama wraps up its 15 years.

After ER completes its run, mid-season drama Kings will take the Thursday 10 p.m. timeslot.

Julianna Margulies Not Planning Return to ER’s Final Season

If you’re hoping for Julianna Margulies to return to the final season of ER, don’t hold your breath – the actress says she won’t be back to reprise her role as nurse Carol Hathaway.

While Julianna Margulies was invited to return to the final season of ER, she declined the appearance.

Julianna Margulies shared some great screen time with George Clooney, who played Dr. Doug Ross, but left ER after six seasons.

According to Julianna Margulies, “I feel like I left Carol Hathaway in the best scenario possible. I can’t imagine making it any better than that.”

ER’s final season will include visits from Anthony Edwards, Noah Wyle and Eriq La Salle, however.
