Samantha Harris, who is now an Entertainment Tonight correspondent, commented on the pregnancy news, saying, “Being able to hold and cuddle and have a little baby cuddle against you and fall asleep is such a fleeting moment in time, and I really can’t wait for that again.”

Look for Mary Hart to leave Entertainent Tonight after the upcoming season, beginning in September. Mary Hart is 59.

What’s next for the ever-perky Mary Hart?

Kate Gosselin was eliminated earlier in the season on DWTS, so I guess she’s got the inside edge, but it seems an ET special correspondent is a stretch.

In other DWTS news, Tom Bergeron responds to buzz of having Betty White on the dance floor, saying, “My understanding is that Betty has had a conversation where she expressed some concern about her ability to keep up. I think that is where you have to say, ‘Okay.’ From a promotion standpoint, obviously, she is the hottest name going right now, but I adore her and I would never want to be her last show.”

Betty White tells ET, “We’re all deeply, deeply saddened. At such a high point in her life, it’s tough, but I think the less other people have to say about it and let her work it out … the better.”

White added, “I love her with all my heart. [She's] one of the greatest human beings on the planet.”

In this video clip, ET’s Mary Hart asks if Hailey Glassman and Jon Gosselin are breaking up. The answer is not so clear, but Glassman tells Hart “I’ve tried to move on in all honesty. He and I need to sit down and talk.”

Jon Gosselin later released a statement that said: “Hailey says she thinks it’s a good idea that we both take some time right now and focus on each of our individual lives. It is important for me to go back to Pennsylvania and be with my children and get through this divorce and decide what I truly want out of life.”

The Entertainment Tonight interview airs tonight, October 29 and tomorrow, October 30.

In the interview, Chaz tells Mary Hart that the process will take “4 to 5 years,” and that “I feel like I’m living in my body for the first time and it feels really good.”

A number of celebrities (Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johannson, Natalie Portman) used their star power to urge Entertainment Tonight/The Insider to pull the video. Top publicity firms were also involved in getting the video yanked.

Entertainment Tonight issued a statement that said, “Out of respect for Heath Ledger’s family, Entertainment Tonight has decided not to run the Heath Ledger video being released to the world media today.”

That doesn’t reverse the fact that they showed previews of the video in anticipation of airing it – therefore, didn’t they put it out there? Additionally, in promoting the video clip, they edited it to sound like Heath Ledger was talking about using drugs – he is shown in the clip saying “I used to smoke five joints a day…” Entertainment Tonight didn’t show the rest of that conversation, however: “and that’s why I got this tattoo [an M, for daughter Matilda] to remind me never to smoke weed again.”

Entertainment Tonight included this statement on their website:

“Out of respect for HEATH LEDGER’s family, “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” have decided not to run the Heath Ledger video which has been circulating in the world media.”

Since rumors of the drug video started circulating, fans of the late actor have been furious with Entertainment Tonight for not respecting Heath Ledger’s family. Nice to see Entertainment Tonight do the right thing in this case.
