Giuliana Rancic Breast Cancer Update: Bill Rancic Says She’s “Doing Well” (Today)

On the Today show this morning, Bill Rancic provided an update on wife Giuliana Rancic’s breast cancer surgery, noting that she’s “doing well.”

Rancic explained, “It was kind of a long day. There’s many steps in the process when you go through this.”

Giuliana Rancic underwent a two-hour double lumpectomy procedure.

Bill shared, “She’s a trooper. She pulled through it and was kind of relieved to get it over with and get the cancer out. She’s doing well at home and recovering.”

Things sound good for Giuliana, as Bill noted they “had to remove a couple of lymph nodes and we’re hoping we get a report tomorrow.”

Giuliana Rancic talks candidly in this video clip about her decision to make her breast cancer diagnosis public by announcing it on the Today show.

With husband Bill Rancic by her side, Giuliana chats about it not being an easy decision, but ultimately, she wanted to raise awareness and get women to take action.

Giuliana Rancic explains, “I was going back and forth – should I do this, should I not do this? It’s just so personal, and I was like a nervous wreck.”

Rancic shares, “I have so many young female viewers who watch me [and] I just want to help them and I have an amazing platform to really help people, so that’s why it was really important for me to share this story… You have to take awareness and turn it into action.”
