Yep, the topic of Miley Cyrus half naked on the cover of Vanity Fair is all the buzz… and as can be expected, the Christian Coalition of America isn’t too pleased.
Michele Combs, a spokesperson for Christian Coalition of America, told Usmagazine.com that “Disney should reprimand her.” Combs also wants Miley Cyrus to have a televised press confreence: “Miley should say it was a mistake and that kids have to be very careful at such a young age. Annie Leibovitz is an artist — there’s no disputing that. Her famed pictures of celebrities are top notch, and yes, sometimes controversial. The latest Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo, featuring the Hannah Montana star topless, but well protected by a satin sheet, is causing quite the buzz today.
And why not — at the center of it all is a wholesome 15-year-old Disney star — Miley Cyrus has been one of the better positive role models for young girls, but her increasingly scandalous behavior (you know the many racy pictures of Miley Cyrus on the Internet) are causing some raised eyebrows. Naturally, the ladies of The View sound off on the Miley Cyrus topless Vanity Fair picture scandal in this video clip from their Hot Topics segment. Whoopi Goldberg brings up some excellent points — including the fact that everyone there for Miley Cyrus’ Vanity Fair photo shoot would have to sign off on the digital pictures that Annie Leibovitz took (including her parents!). There’s no mistaking that the topless picture was approved, whether Miley Cyrus thought it artistic at the time or not.
