Such sad news… Jill Clayburgh died today following a lengthy battle with chronic leukemia. Jill Clayburgh is dead at age 66.

Jill Clayburgh, star of both stage, screen and TV, appeared in Broadway plays in the 60s and 70s, made her film debut in The Wedding Party, and appeared in Silver Streak, starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. Read the rest of this entry »

ABC Shows Return in April: Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty and More!

ABC has finally confirmed the return of a number of fan favorite shows (now that the pesky writers’ strike is over!). I’ve been hearing from readers about when Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy will be back with new episodes.

Nine ABC Shows Renewed, Including Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies

Following news that the writers’ strike has ended and everyone in TV land is going back to work, ABC has announced that nine of the network’s shows have been renewed for the 2008-09 season.

Naturally, “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Ugly Betty,” “Lost” and “Brothers & Sisters” will return… but four new shows have also been given the network’s blessing for a second season: “Pushing Daisies,” “Private Practice,” “Samantha Who?” and “Dirty Sexy Money.” Read the rest of this entry »
