Kyle MacLachlan wine? Yummy.
Well, I’m not entirely sure how yummy a bottle of “Desperate Housewives” star Kyle MacLachlan’s finest wine would be, but it’s an interesting endeavor, nonetheless. Kyle MacLachlan, who plays Orson on “Desperate Housewives,” is working with a Washington state vineyard to produce a Cabernet called ‘Pursued by Bear.’ Read the rest of this entry »
“Desperate Housewives” co-star Nicollette Sheridan is apparently a bit of a head case… according to her ex-fiance Niklas Soderblom in his book, Desperate Houseman.
Soderblom maintains that Sheridan was so worried about getting dumped from the show: “It was a competition. She was a middle-aged woman in Hollywood and deep down I am sure she sees Desperate Housewives as her last big break.” He recounts one time when “she was devastated when the posters for the show showed the other four women, but not her. She started crying. She said she was sure the producers intended to ditch her character. She exploded. She screamed ‘Don’t you get it? Haven’t you seen the posters? Teri, Marcia, Felicity, Eva… but no Nicollette. Do you get it? No Nicollette. They don’t give a s— about me. It’s like I don’t exist.”
Hmm. How much here is reality and how much is to sell books?
“Desperate Housewives” actresss Eva Longoria loves life and gets her sunny disposition from a supportive family.
In an interview with Parade magazine, Longoria says, “I’ve learned there’s no better medicine than laughing. (My sister) Liza is mentally challenged. She was my hero growing up. It was a blessing to watch her overcome every obstacle – tying her shoes, putting on a shirt, getting out the front door. And yet she still had a job and would come home on the bus by herself and help with dinner. You could only imagine the hurdles she encountered every minute of the day.” Read the rest of this entry »
Eva Longoria Parker has decided to open a new restaurant, “Beso,” in L.A. which will serve Mexican-American cuisine, because she’s Mexican-American. She’s been very involved, picking the uniforms and setting things up, and some of the recipes are her own.
What does that mean for Wisteria Lane? Well the actress has evidently decided to that she wants to be a housewife… with lots of babies. “I’ve always loved the idea of having lots of children. If I’m around a baby, I’m like, ‘Aaaaahhh, babies!’” Even though Eva’s sad to leave Desperate Housewives, she says she’ll have more time do do movies.
And Eva couldn’t have changed her plans at a better time, what with the writer’s strike and all.
Eva Longoria’s got a new restaurant in the works – but that doesn’t mean she’s quitting her day job at “Desperate Housewives.” It’s unclear when her Mexican-American restaurant, BESO, will open, but she is finalizing plans for the Hollywood eatery. Her partner in the endeavor is celebrity chef Todd English.
According to Longoria, she’s no slouch in the kitchen either. “I love to cook!” she told People magazine. “I’m a big, big cooker in my family, so this is kind of an extension of my house. I feel like everybody’s going to be in my living room.” As for her restaurant, she said, “A lot of these are my recipes. We’ve developed a really fun menu.”
Desperate Housewives’ star Nicollette Sheridan (Edie Brit) is expecting her and Michael Bolton’s first child. The mother to-be is glowing and is the “buzz of the set.” Her costars picked up on her pregnancy when they she started asking current mothers Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman about what it’s like to be pregnant and for mothering tips. Of course, she also asked about how pregnancy would change her appearance and if her hair would thin.
It should be interesting to see how Nicollette’s pregnancy plays out on-screen, as her character is currently facing quite a few problems after her recent suicide attempts. It should be interesting to see how Edie (who has a son that came up only once or twice) handles her pregnancy – and how they decide to incorporate it – if they do.
As the fourth day of the Writer’s Guild of America’s strike continues, more and more shows are being canceled. Shows include: Til Death, Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, and Brothers and Sisters.
Yesterday, during filming, the Guild picketed around the set of Desperate Housewives. Instead of being upset, Eva Longoria Taylor brought pizza out to them so they wouldn’t have to leave. “I care about people losing their homes, and my hair and makeup artist who can’t make their ends meet if they don’t have a paycheck.”
In the meantime, a number of casts have either joined the Guild at the picket line or shown their support by refusing to cross the line. Casts include: The Office, and Grey’s anatomy, among others.
