So, Desperate Housewives fans know that a plane crash is going to cause some devastation on Wisteria Lane, but who dies in the Desperate Housewives plane crash aftermath? Spoilers ahead…

On the upcoming plane crash episode of Desperate Housewives, there will be casualties, and no doubt this death is going to set up some bumpy and sad times for future episodes. Did we mention spoiler alert??

An insider is squealing about who died in the Desperate Housewives crash, saying that Lynette Scavo will lose one of the kids in the horrific crash.

OMG.

Mind you, this is just a rumor, but the source reveals:

“[Lynette] is pregnant with twins; she loses one of them—they could save it—but it would be deformed or something. So, she loses one of the twins, that’s what happens.”

If it’s true… so, so sad.

Desperate Housewives to Air Through 2013, Season 9

Desperate Housewives is going the distance – through 2013, anyway. Variety is reporting that show creator Marc Cherry has signed a deal with ABC Studios, extending Desperate Housewives through to a ninth season.

Marc Cherry will stay on as executive producer through the series’ run, but will the cast, who are only signed through season 7, stay for the duration?

A plane will soon be crashing into Desperate Housewives’ Wisteria Lane… but who dies in the Desperate Housewives plane crash? Check out these first plane crash pictures, where there’s likely to death and injury in the fallout.

Series creator Marc Cherry confirms that yes, some key characters on Desperate Housewives will die, saying: “It’s going to be my cliffhanger for the first half of the season.”

Cherry also hints that the DH plane crash will “affect everyone’s lives.”

In an ABC tie-in, the plane that crashes the Desperate Housewives neighborhood is rumored to be an Oceanic Airlines flight from Lost!

Desperate Housewives’ Teri Hatcher Training for Triathlon

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is getting in shape for the upcoming Nautica Malibu Triathlon in Malibu, Californa on September 13. Hatcher was seen over the weekend, training for the half-mile swim Pacific Ocean swim, 18-mile bike ride and four-mile run on Zuma Beach.

Teri Hatcher wrote about the training on her blog, saying, “I’ve got to say, the run is HARD. Those last four miles make my knees ache and my chest burn. And did you know you’re not allowed to use an ipod?! Who can run without music?”

It’s time to get the Desperate Housewives season 6 ball rolling – check out these two new season 6 promo pictures for DH, featuring Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker, Felicity Huffman and Dana Delany.

In the Desperate Housewives picture above, each of the Wisteria Lane ladies appear as goddesses with weapons and shield, atop a pile of apples.

The other Desperate Housewives picture shows each holding an appliance, apple, teddy bear, vacuum and teacup.

Desperate Housewives season 6 premieres September 27 with the episode “What Wedding, What Way.”

Desperate Housewives casting news… Jesse Metcalfe, who played sexy gardener John Rowland in the first season of DH and returned throughout the years, will reprise his character again.

Jesse Metcalfe is set to appear in 6 to 8 episodes, a source tells OK Magazine, “with the possibility of coming back full time.”

Andrea Bowen Returns to Desperate Housewives as Julie

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Julie on Desperate Housewives, but actress Andrea Bowen is returning as a series regular on Wisteria Lane for the upcoming season.

ABC is only confirming that Andrea Bowen will appear on the September 27 season premiere of Desperate Housewives, but EW.com has an inside source saying the actress will return to the series full time.

Andrea Bowen was last a full time cast member at the end of season 4, but then the series flashed foward and we only saw her briefly when she returned from college to say she was dating a college professor (Steven Weber).

Drea de Matteo Joining Cast of Desperate Housewives

It’s time for Desperate Housewives to shake things up a bit with a new cast member… Drea de Matteo will be joining season six, taking on the vixen role now that Nicollette Sheridan’s Edie is dead and gone.

Drea de Matteo will play a new housewife on Wisteria Lane, with a hubby and a son… and no doubt some kind of dramatic secret.
