TMZ.com is reporting that American Idol finalist David Cook’s brother is ill with cancer — and this is likely contributing to David Cook’s stress level and subsequent visit to the hospital last night.

Well, it sounds like it was some night for David Cook on American Idol last night — after knocking another performance out of the park with “Little Sparrow,” by Dolly Parton, he left for the hospital after experiencing heart palpitations and high blood pressure.

I’ve read some online comments about David Cook’s performance of Billie Jean on the March 25 American Idol, blasting him for ripping off Chris Cornell’s version. Yes, there was mention that he was singing Chris Cornell’s version, but folks thought David Cook should have given more credit to Cornell when the judges were praising him.
