David Cook sings “Always Be My Baby” by Mariah Carey in this April 15 American Idol video clip. So cool to see what David Cook did with a Mariah Carey song – and he’s so emotional with his brother in the audience. Very sweet.

Randy says he’s ready to make an album more than anyone on the show (and he even stood up for David Cook!); Paula said it could be on a movie soundtrack right now, he’s it; Simon said it was a breath of fresh air, original and daring, stood out by a mile.

David Cook will have one special guest in the audience during tonight and tomorrow’s American Idol shows — his brother, Adam Cook, who is suffering from brain cancer.
