Another film heavy hitter is joining Glenn Close on FX’s “Damages.” Oscar winner William Hurt will play a new client of Patty Hewes (Glenn Close) - and although no further details have been released, rumor has it that William Hurt’s character will have both a professional and personal past with Patty.

Hurray! Award season is upon us, with the announcement of the Golden Globe nominations this morning. “Damages” ended its season last month on FX, but word just broke today that the network is renewing the show for two more seasons. Stars Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and Tate Donovan are secured for the upcoming two seasons as well. Each season will run 13 episodes, with production for season two beginning in early 2008.
