Ricky Gervais to Guest Star on Curb Your Enthusiasm

Great news for Ricky Gervais and Curb Your Enthusiasm fans! Gervais will have an upcoming guest starring gig on Curb, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ricky Gervais will being playing himself on an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm to air late in season 8… no word yet on how his storyline will play out.

Here’s hoping Ricky uses his signature laugh.

Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm can check out reruns of the hit series on the TV Guide Channel, beginning this week. Yes, expect that the language will be censored (Susie Essman’s character more than any of the others), but there will be something extra for fans too – a new panel discussion with a variety of celebrities talking about the moral/ethical dilemmas of each episode.

HBO Renews Curb Your Enthusiasm for 8th Season, Premieres 2011

The great news? HBO has renewed “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for an eighth season. The not-so-great news? We have to wait for season 8 to premiere in 2011.

Production begins this sumer on the next 10 episodes.

Larry David said in a statement: “After much soul searching — and by the way, it was nowhere to be found — I have decided to do another season of Curb. I look forward to the end of shooting, when I can once again resume the hunt for my elusive soul. I know it’s here somewhere or perhaps in the rugged mountainous regions of Pakistan.”

Ricky Gervais Rumored as Curb Your Enthusiasm Guest Star

Oh please, oh please, let this happen! Rumors are floating that Ricky Gervais may guest star on an upcoming episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. The best part? Curb creator Larry David started the rumor!

Larry David told EOnline.com that he’s hoping Ricky Gervais will be on a season 8 episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

In regards to an official announcement of an eighth season of Curb, David says, “I’ll probably know something in a month or so.”

And about Gervais, Larry David had this to say: “I think Ricky Gervais is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met.”

Oh how sweet to have these two together in one episode!

Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8: “Pretty Good Chance”

Larry David says “there’s a pretty good chance” that season 8 of Curb Your Enthusiasm will happen… we’ll take it!

Larry David told the audience at the Paley Center’s TV festival that he’s working on “some stuff” for season 8 of Curb: “It’s not definite yet, but we’re working on some stuff.”

As for further Seinfeld appearances, David said, “There will be no more ‘Seinfeld’ references on the show. ‘Seinfeld’ questions are probably not appropriate.”

Larry David didn’t reveal much, but when asked about an onscreen reunion with Curb wife (played by Cheryl Hines), he said, “I think so.”

As for a Curb Your Enthusiasm movie… David said, “I don’t think so.”

Seinfeld Cast, Larry David Entertainment Weekly Cover – Seinfeld Reunion Picture

I just love seeing Seinfeld’s Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer gracing the cover of Entertainment Weekly again – the Seinfeld cast reunion picture also includes Seinfeld co-creator Larry David, since Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards reunite with David on this season’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

The Seinfeld reunion will begin in episode 3 of Curb Your Enthusiasm, with Seinfeld and the gang appearing over five of the season’s 10 episodes.

While no big Seinfeld reunion plot details have been revealed, Larry David hints that his character “attempts to get [his estranged wife] Cheryl back, and the ‘Seinfeld’ reunion figures prominently in that.”

Julia Louis-Dreyfus adds, “It’s the anti-reunion reunion, and I’d like to copyright that.”
