Conan O’Brien’s late night show name has been announced: “Conan,” as the man himself tells fans in the important message video. Looks like they’re going simple with “Conan,” although, as O’Brien wrote it, it looks like “Conaw,” and that would be pretty friggin’ cool too.
Conan premieres on TBS on November 8. Apparently, he’s got a lot of work to do to get ready.
Sooo funny… Watch Conan O’Brien, Stephen Colbert, and Jon Stewart at Conan’s Radio City Music Hall show. Let’s just say, there’s *very* close talking, a dance off, and sadly, a shooting in this June 1 video clip from “The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour.”
Before he comes to TBS as a late night host, the network is giving Conan O’Brien’s team a comedy special called “Team Coco Presents Conan’s Writers Live.”
TBS and the Just for Laughs comedy festival are bringing Andy Richter and Conan’s writers to Chicago next month for the one-hour special to be taped during the TBS “Very Funny” Festival: Just for Laughs on June 17. Read the rest of this entry »

Conan O’Brien criticizes Leno during his “60 Minutes” interview (full video above), slamming Jay Leno for the whole Tonight Show shuffle that ousted O’Brien from the show just six months after he took over for Leno.
O’Brien criticizes Leno in the candid 60 Minutes interview, saying, “He (Leno) went and took that show back and I think in a similar situation, if roles had been reversed, I know — I know me, I wouldn’t have done that. If I had surrendered The Tonight Show and handed it over to somebody publicly and wished them well, I would not have come back six months later. But that’s me.
