Well, this is strange — check out the March 27 video clip of American Idol castoff Chikezie on the March 27 Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Over 30 million votes were cast…. and Chikezie, Syesha Mercado and Jason Castro landed in the bottom three on the March 26 American Idol results show.

In the end though, it was Chikezie who was eliminated.

Randy said it was old-school and didn’t love it, kind of boring; Paula said he did a great job; Simon said he sang it well, but the performance was cheesy.

Randy was thoroughly entertained and loved the arrangement, said Chikezie smashed it; Paula said the reward paid off for the risk he took; Simon agreed with Randy and Paula, said he’s changed since last week and he was terrific.
