One of the highlights of the star studded Stand Up to Cancer event was seeing a multitude of talented women take the stage to sing “Just Stand Up.” Check out Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Fergie, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Ciara, Keyshia Cole, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Mary J. Blige, Nicole Scherzinger perform “Just Stand Up” from Fashion Rocks.
“Just Stand Up” was created and produced by LA Reid and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.
The commercial-free special, “Stand Up to Cancer” airs tonight, September 5 at 8 p.m. on CBS, ABC and NBC. The video above is a promo commercial for “Stand Up to Cancer,” which will feature a number of celebrities helping to raise money for cancer research.
According to Katie Couric, “It’s all about collaboration. Collaboration among the networks, collaboration among cancer researchers all around the country. . . . and ultimately, the collaboration of the American people, who can unite behind a single cause that affects so many people.”
“Survivor: Gabon – Earth’s Last Eden” was to premiere on Thursday, September 18, but the date has been bumped to Thursday, September 25th – and will be a 2-hour premiere!

Everything old is new again – especially when it comes to TV ideas. CBS will be remaking the 1970s classic “The Streets of San Francisco,” developing an update of famed cop series that starred Michael Douglas and Karl Malden.
The show’s title will remain “The Streets of San Francisco” and the main characters’ names will be the same, as well as the location, but the story will take place in present day. Read the rest of this entry »
After eight years on CSI, William Petersen, who plays Gil Grissom, will be leaving the series. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that William Petersen will be leaving the series sometime mid-season, but will continue on as executive producer.
According to CSI’s executive producer, “Billy is leaving, but he will remain throughout the run of the series as an executive producer. And he will, whenever CBS asks, come back. I don’t think you’ve seen the last of Gil Grissom.”Read the rest of this entry »
