And more cancellation news – CBS canceled “Without a Trace,” instead renewing Numb3rs because it costs less to produce.
Over at The CW, they have canceled Privileged, with creator Rini Mimoun commenting, “It’s truly heartbreaking. I’m so grateful to everyone out there who supported our little show and fell in love with Megan Smith. She was the most delightful character I’ve ever had the pleasure to write and watching JoAnna Garcia bring her to life every day was a gift I will never forget. I’m incredibly proud of the work we did and forever indebted to all the fans, critics and to Warner Bros. for being so wonderful and supportive. Ooh… LL Cool J is coming to the small screen in a starring role. Check out LL Cool J when he stars in CBS’s planned spinoff of NCIS, playing a former Navy SEAL working undercover for the NCIS unit.
LL Cool J will debut in his new NCIS spinoff role during half of a two-part NCIS episode later this season. The spinoff does not yet have a title.

Musical teen phenoms Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift are planning a duet at this year’s Grammy Awards. The already star-studded 2009 Grammys will feature a performance by Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus on February 8 on CBS.
Other performances include Kanye West and Estelle, Adele, Chris Brown, Sugarland a Four Tops tribute with original member Duke Fakir, Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo. U2, Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Jennifer Hudson, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna and Carrie Underwood will also perform at the Grammys.
