Fox Cancels “Dollhouse” – Eliza Dushku Series Cancelled

Well, Dollhouse fans, we all feared this day would come – Fox has canceled “Dollhouse,” sadly.

The Joss Whedon/Eliza Dushku drama will finish its 13-episode order, but after that, Dollhouse is dunzo.

Dollhouse only averaged 3 million viewers this season, compared to last season’s 4.7 million.

ABC Cancels “Hank” – Kelsey Grammer’s “Hank” Canceled

It seemed the writing has been on the wall for Kelsey Grammer’s new show from the get-go, but now it’s official. Grammer’s “Hank” has been canceled by ABC due to low ratings and all around suckage.

EW.com reports that there are “no current plans to air the five remaining episodes.”

Witches of Eastwick Canceled?

Will “Witches of Eastwick” be canceled? The outlook isn’t good.

ABC has not ordered any additional episodes of Eastwick – so, not yet officially cancelled, but pretty much the kiss of death.

The Witches of Eastwick, starring Rebecca Romijn and Lindsay Price, is averaging fewer than 5 million viewers.

Comedy Central Canceled Reno 911!

“Reno 911!” is dunzo. Comedy Central decided to cancel Reno 911! after six seasons, with show co-creator/star Thomas Lennon taking to Twitter to break the news to fans.

“Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today,” Lennon wrote. “Won’t be wearing the shorts again.”

And just like that, it’s over. Reno 911 finished up its sixth season on July 8.

Nip Tuck Cancelled – FX Series Nip/Tuck Cancellation News

The writing was on the wall… Nip/Tuck has been cancelled, and will wrap up with its 100th episode.

Here’s the kookiest part – the Nip/Tuck finale won’t air until 2011 at the end of the series’ final season (the final 19 episodes have already been shot).

John Hensley, who played Matt on Nip/Tuck commented, “I feel we’ve reached a creative impasse with regards to what we can do with this story. I feel like it was, quite frankly, told a long time ago. I say that trying to be right-sized about this because I am very grateful for this opportunity. I just feel that we were a show that was very good and innovative at one point and we’ve gone the way of so many shows before us. Our moment has passed.”

A&E Cancels Patrick Swayze’s “The Beast”

Fans of the A&E drama “The Beast” will be disappointed to hear that the Patrick Swayze series has been canceled. 13 episodes of The Beast’s first season ended with the final installment on April 23.

The Beast never really took off in ratings and Patrick Swayze was unable to promote the series when he was hospitalized with pneumonia and later revealed he had cancer.

A&E has not made an official announcement about the cancellation of The Beast, but sources tell Variety that the series is over.

Without a Trace, Privileged Canceled; No Go on Gossip Girl Spin-Off

And more cancellation news – CBS canceled “Without a Trace,” instead renewing Numb3rs because it costs less to produce.

Over at The CW, they have canceled Privileged, with creator Rini Mimoun commenting, “It’s truly heartbreaking. I’m so grateful to everyone out there who supported our little show and fell in love with Megan Smith. She was the most delightful character I’ve ever had the pleasure to write and watching JoAnna Garcia bring her to life every day was a gift I will never forget. I’m incredibly proud of the work we did and forever indebted to all the fans, critics and to Warner Bros. for being so wonderful and supportive. I will miss this more than you know.”

CBS renewals announced include How I Met Your Mother, Gary Unmarried, Rules of Engagement, and Old Christine.

The CW has picked up Melrose Place 2.0, Beautiful Life and Vampire Diaries, but the Gossip Girl spin-off is a definite no-go – done before it even got started.

My Name is Earl Cancelled

NBC has cancelled My Name is Earl – Ethan Suplee, who plays Randy, just posted the news on Twitter: “Just got the call that My Name Is Earl has been canceled. They sure did take their time with that decision or rather informing us of it.”

Sorry to hear the series is over – My Name is Earl has always been a fun part of the NBC Thursday Night lineup.

ABC Cancels Samantha Who?

This comes as a surprise… ABC has canceled “Samantha Who?” after two seasons. EW.com’s Ausiello is reporting that multiple sources confirm the Samantha Who? cancellation.

Save “Chuck” Fans Update – Will Chuck be Renewed?

Save Chuck fans want an update on the fate of their favorite series… and so far it’s unclear if the Save Chuck fans’ Subway campaign garnered enough attention for a renewal.

In a USA Today poll of shows that are in danger of cancellation, Chuck fans voted the NBC series as the one to save.

More than half of the 41,000 people polled were Chuck fans – looking for the series to snag a renewal.

Chuck’s second season finale aired Monday and fans were deliriously happy… and wanting more. NBC has not yet decided if a third season renewal will happen or not. NBC is likely to make their decision by May 5, so hopefully the Save Chuck fans will have some happy news ahead.
