The buzz is that Britney Spears may return for another episode of “How I Met Your Mother” — likely because her March 25 guest starring gig grabbed the show its highest ratings.

But will the return of Britney Spears on HIMYM mean a ratings win again? Her cameo as a ditzy receptionist was probably in small enough doses that another guest starring gig wouldn’t hurt the series too much. Dr. Phil stops in at The View (January 31) to talk about visiting Britney Spears for her first meltdown and discusses her entry into the hospital last night. The Dr. Phil/The View video clip is above — of course, he plugs his 1,000th episode.

Look at Diane Sawyer going after Dr. Phil in this Good Morning America video clip — the first interview with Dr. Phil since he tried to help Britney Spears following her meltdown. Dr. Phil sets the record straight and talks up his 1,000 show that will air on Friday (where Oprah will stop by!).

Guess Diane Sawyer had to make up for that fluff interview she did with Katie Holmes.

Dr. Phil is now saying that he regrets ever releasing a statement after visiting Britney Spears in the hospital during her lockdown. Well, of course he does because now everyone hates him and more people are becoming aware that he sucks as a doctor. He said:

“Was it helpful to the situation? Regrettably, no. It was not, and I have to acknowledge that and I do,” he told his audience Thursday during taping of a Dr. Phil episode that will run Monday, according to USA Today.

“I definitely think if I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn’t make any statement at all. Period.”

After winning MTV’s “Celebrity Rap Superstar” competition last month, it’s back to life as usual for Shar Jackson. That means back to mothering duties for her and Kevin Federline’s two children, Kori, 5, and Kaleb, 3. She’s also on hand to help Federline’s other two kids from his previous marriage with Britney Spears — Jayden James and Preston.

According to Jackson, “We definitely make sure the kids all bond together. I mean, they’re siblings, they need each other.” Read the rest of this entry »
