Bryan Cranston is set to host Saturday Night Live on October 2. When I saw the SNL hosting gig news this morning, I literally squealed. Maybe I need to get out more.

I’ve been a Bryan Cranston lover for awhile – loved him on Seinfeld and Malcolm in the Middle. He just picked up his third consecutive Best Actor Emmy for Breaking Bad.

Cranston said in an interview earlier this year, “Would I like to host ‘Saturday Night Live?’ Hell, yes, I’d love to.” Hell yes, he will. On October 2.

Cranston spilled the beans while guest hosting on ESPN Radio’s Mason & Ireland show, noting he’s “so thrilled and excited” about the SNL gig.

Breaking Bad Renewed for Third Season

Breaking Bad is on a roll… AMC has picked up the Peabody Award winner for a third season. The renewal was announced just four episodes into Breaking Bad’s second season.

Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston, who won an Emmy for his role, and has been a ratings winner for AMC. Look for a third season of the series in 2010.
