Blake Lewis may not have won American Idol, but he’s not sitting on his behind. He’s been working with several different producers to and 19 Recordings and Arista Records to produce the album. Evidently, the music features the beatboxing and unique arrangements so often featured on the last season of American Idol. The album itself, “Audio Daydream” has already been released, and will be available in stores December 4.

You know, it’s probably a good thing he didn’t win. If he had, he’d be stuck doing some form of pop – and really, you can only have so much pop. Hopefully, this album will feature the gorgeous Blake Lewis at his finest.

He may have come in second on American Idol, but it didn’t take long for Blake Lewis to sign a deal. He’ll have an album out sometime later this year under Arista. Thank God, I need a new Blake fix.

Blake Lewis continues to prove that you don’t need to actually win American Idol – he’s officially working on his album and laid down the first track yesterday.

Just one week before the American Idols Live tour kicks off in Sunrise, Florida, Blake Lewis is already hard at work laying down tracks for his upcoming album. “I just recorded my first track last night,” the Idol runner-up told TV Guide in an exclusive interview. “I’ve already written seven songs.”

Lewis, who is in the midst of rehearsals for American Idols Live, began recording in Los Angeles on June 18. Electronic musician BT has signed on to produce and rapper Doug E. Fresh, who performed with Lewis on the Season 6 finale, is in talks to beatbox on a song.

“There’s a couple of emcees I’d like to work with,” he says. “I’m going to have four or five people beatbox between tracks.”

Asked to describe the disc’s sound, Lewis says, “I’d classify it as electro-funk-soul-pop if you need to label it. I really love the sounds of the ‘80s so I hope to ring some of that back. I’m really inspired by electronic music.”

Fans can expect to hear the new tunes by the end of the year. “It’s on the chopping block because they want it out by Thanksgiving or Christmas,” he reveals. But the Seattle native promises that listeners won’t be disappointed.

“I’ve been working for such a long time writing a lot of songs in different genres,” says Lewis. “The first album is really a testament of who you are.”

According to The National Enquirer, Blake Lewis is suffering from an extreme case of a big fat swollen head. The “American Idol” Six runner-up was at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on June 7 when he was approached by four elderly ladies who politely asked him if he was this year’s second best from the hit Fox series.

The disturbed beatboxer responded that he was no such person.

“My, my, young man, you look so much like him,” one disappointed woman reportedly said.

Blake whipped out his cell phone, called someone, and complained about being mobbed by fans.

“Hurry up and get down here fast!” an observer heard him complain. “You wouldn’t believe all the people bothering me here!”
