So, down with the rumor that the next edition of “Big Brother” will feature celebrities, but if you play your cards right, you could become the next reality star to grace the BB house. Casting starts Saturday in Los Angeles and runs through December 8th in Tampa, Florida.

With the writers’ strike still in full effect, the need to fill the TV schedule may push some reality programming up – including an earlier air date for CBS’ “Big Brother.” While “Big Brother” has typically filled the summer schedule, the show has already begun casting and may air as soon as February. The typical summer schedule includes three nights of “Big Brother” per week, but it’s unclear if the show’s earlier return will follow this same format. Host Julie Chen is still on board, as she has been for the previous eight seasons of the series, but the big buzz is the possibility of a celebrity edition.

All media outlets have been given notice that Amber, the most recent Big Brother evictee, nor any future contestants booted off, will be able to give interviews. This is new, compared to prior seasons. Read the rest of this entry »
