News that Scrubs, Better Off Ted and FlashForward are cancelled came last night, as reported by EW.com. None of these are surprises, given Scrubs’ and FlashForward’s dwindling ratings over the year, and the lack of promotional love for the awesome Better Off Ted all but sealed its fate.
Well… frak. News that Better Off Ted’s Andrea Anders was cast in the pilot of Matthew Perry’s new show “Mr. Sunshine” seemed to indicate that “Ted” would be canceled.
Now comes word that Better Off Ted star Jay Harrington has also been cast in a new sitcom pilot – the NBC comedy “Nathan vs. Nurture,” Variety reports. Read the rest of this entry »
Great news for three ABC comedies – “The Middle,” “Modern Family” and “Cougar Town” have all been renewed for their second seasons during the 2010-11 season, ABC Entertainment president Steve McPherson announced today.
The bad news? No word yet on the fates of comedy golden child “Better Off Ted” (seriously – watch this, if you aren’t tuning in) and the downer med school edition of “Scrubs.”

ABC has decided to give Scrubs another year, renewing the hospital comedy for its ninth season. Zach Braff is confirmed to have signed on for six episodes, but the rumor that Sarah Chalke did the same deal is not yet a sure thing.
Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn will also return for season 9. No word yet on which new characters will join the cast or if the format of Scrubs will change. Read the rest of this entry »
