Taylor Swift was a big winner at the 2009 Country Music Awards, but nothing could top Taylor Swift’s win as CMAs Entertainer of the Year.

Taylor Swift took to the stage and in her acceptance speech said: “I’ll never forget this moment because in this moment, everything I ever wanted has just happened to me.” Check out Taylor Swift’s CMA speech in the video clip.

Swift also brought her band on stage and thanked her fans, as well as adding, “Thank you for this moment. Thank you. Every single person in that category let me open up for them … thank you. I love you all.”

Ricky Gervais to Host Golden Globes in January (Video)

Finally… Ricky Gervais, who never fails to entertain at awards shows, has been given the honor of hosting the Golden Globes awards in January.

Look for Ricky Gervais to rock the 67th Annual Golden Globes on January 17. Nominations will be announced December 15.

Ricky Gervais commented on the hosting job, saying, “Not only is this the biggest Hollywood celebration of the industry, which includes both film and TV, but also an environment where I feel I can get free reign as a host. I have resisted many other offers like this, but there are just some things you don’t turn down.”

Ricky Gervais has won four Emmys and three Golden Globes.

Maksim “Maks” Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff in Backstage Emmys Fight?

Sounds like Maksim “Maks” Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff may have gotten in a backstage fight at the Emmys last night. At least they turned in a great performance!

E! Online reported that an insider scooped that Maks and Karina had an exchange both before and after they took to the stage.

The source says, “They were going at it, screaming at each other. He said she was taking too long in hair and makeup. It got kind of loud.”

No doubt there were some lovely ladies and handsome men at the 2009 Emmys, but our picks for best dressed are Olivia Wilde and Sandra Oh, pictured here.

Olivia Wilde wore the most interesting gown – one-shoulder lace, with cutouts in all the right places.

Sandra Oh rocked a classic look – elegant and striking, with just the right hair and makeup.
