In what will hopefully be the last Antonella Barba post ever, the recent college dropout has announced that she will not be doing any porn…ever….Give her a week.

“That is not the way I want to present myself,” she said. “I keep getting told no publicity is bad publicity. Yes, it’s true my name is more well-known because of it. But I’m not known for the things I want to be known for. I’d rather present myself in a more classy way.”

“Girls Gone Wild” had offered the Catholic school graduate $250,000 to appear as a spokesmodel. And Sugar Adult DVD’s raised the another $250,000, for a cover model offer of $500,000.

SugarDVD, the largest renter of adult DVDs online, has reportedly offered Antonella Barba a half-million dollars to become their new spokeslut.

If A.B signs, Sugar CEO “Jax” says that her first gig would be hosting a launch party for their new video-on-demand service.

Jax said, “You saw her photos online, she’s smokin’. We will not lose because of money.”

Joe Francis, the guy behind the GGW empire, has already offered the saucy Idolette a $250,000 contract to appear in a video as a celebrity host!

Joe says: “We have reached out to Antonella Barba through her family and are trying to reach her directly in order to offer her a hosting job for one of our upcoming video projects. Just like the American Idol judges, we at Girls Gone Wild are looking for a girl next door, with sexiness, attitude, a carefree spirit and a presence that will command the attention of the Nation.”

Rosie O’Donnell jumped into the controversy over Antonella Barba remaining on American Idol after skanky photos of her circulated on the Web.

On Tuesday’s episode of The View, Rosie addressed the fact that Frenchie Davis was booted off American Idol during the second season for once appearing on an adult Web site and A.B remains on the show. “Why is it that Frenchie was kicked off and this girl was not?”

Elisabeth Hasselbeck suggested that it might have been because Davis’s site was for pay, Ro said she did not buy the argument.

And while we’re on the topic, neither do we. What the hell does her getting paid for the topless photos have to do with anything?
Frenchie exposed her biddies as a means of putting herself through college, while Antonella was just exposing hers for the fun of it, actually makes her situation the more sympathetic one.

At least Frenchie got some chedder out of her exposure-everyone gets to see Barba’s boobs for free.

“I think it’s racist. I do,” said O’Donnell, adding in reference to Davis, “I think it’s because she’s black.” (Right on, Rosie)

“It’s weightist and wacist, too, you wascally wabbit.” “She can’t sing a note, by the way.”

Antonella Barba cannot speak publicly about the photos that have created a sex, and now racial scandal, for the highest rated show on television, but that won’t stop her former castmates from opening up about the racy photos that have overshadowed this year’s competition.

Alaina Alexander and Leslie Hunt, both 24, were ousted after last week’s results show. And now the two Fallen Idols dish the dirt on Antonella!

“She is a trooper,” pal Alaina says. “Antonella’s strong and she’s going to be just fine.” She goes on to explain that American Idol contestants were asked to make the production team aware of any, um, skeletons in their closets prior to filming.

But, as we know, things don’t always go as planned.

“It’s unfortunate when that sort of thing happens,” Alaina says. “But you have to just keep on going and keep doing what you’re here to do, and that’s just to entertain and sing.”

Leslie, however, says she had a feeling personality would play a key role in winning viewer votes.

“I knew getting into this that it wasn’t just about singing. I did a little research about who [in previous seasons] was eliminated when and what their voices sounded like. There’s really no formula. If someone has a personality, sometimes that will take them way farther than a good voice,” she said.

“There are some contestants [who] sneak and try to read [commentary],” she says. “They read all the negative [items] and it really affects their performance and how they feel about themselves,” Alaina said.

We don’t know if Antonella has been online lately, but Leslie says she steered clear of gossip during her weeks on the Idol stage.

“It doesn’t do anybody any favors,” she says. “Sometimes when you’re in the spotlight it’s just a good idea to turn a blind eye, to keep things in perspective.”

As far as Antonella’s prediciment goes, Leslie urges fans to “get over it.” After all, she says, “It’s a singing competition.”

Until Antonella Barba gets kicked off American Idol, America will continue to debate whether she amounts to anything more than the controversy over her World War II Memorial pictures and other sexy photos.

One half of America seems to think the obvious: that Antonella Barba is not very good at singing, and that she deserves to get kicked off… last week. Simon, Randy and Paula seem to agree. They were disgusted that the 2 obvious picks for last week’s vote off didn’t get voted off.

The other half of of Americans seem to love controversy and place celebrity higher than singing ability. So far, the only American Idol scandal to break this year has been the leakage of racy pics of Antonella Barba. Whether it’s her sexy school girl pose, or the wet t-shirt see through images at the WWII Memorial fountain, or the faux images of her having sex, she certainly has people talking. Some people even speculate that Barba has plans to pose in Playboy, and many would love to see her do it.

So the million dollar question going into the next few weeks of American Idol is whether the Antonella Barba story will continue to dominate. Will she learn how to sing and come out surprising us all? It’s possible if she picks better songs, but her history of picking songs has been bad. But even if it turns out that Barba can’t sing, will her sexy photos and topless pics be enough to carry her through? Will American Idol the show get exposed through the Antonella Barba? Will we discover the sure fire way to win the American Idol competition (get topless pictures taken!)?

If Barba wins American Idol, will we see American Idol turn into a slutfest? I guess we’ll find out.

“American Idol” fans might recall four years ago, on Season II of the show, when Franchelle “Frenchie” Davis was disqualified from the show for appearing topless in photos on the Internet. But the “American Idol” producers announced last week that current finalist Antonella Barba will stick around, despite much naughtier flicks, featuring her thong-clad ass on a veteran’s memorial.

The show has been quite quiet about the Barba brouhaha as well as Antonella herself, but Frenchie Davis has a few things to say”

“I had stopped watching ‘American Idol’,” Davis admitted, “and I’ve tried to avoid even speaking about or thinking about what happened four years ago. But I couldn’t help but overhear what was happening with Antonella. I couldn’t help but notice the manner in which she was dealt with was the complete opposite of how I was dealt with.”

Another difference in the situations is that Davis actually told the producers about her, well, indiscretions beforehand.

“When I first discovered that I had made it to Hollywood and found out I would be competing to get into the top 30 and then later in the top 12, they had given us all this paperwork to fill out, background checks and that whole thing. So when we were doing that I had a discussion with some members of the production staff and I exposed to them a piece of my past; that when I was 19 years old, I took some pictures and that’s not the person I am [anymore]. I wanted to be upfront about it. We talked about it and then nothing happened,” she said.

“They had decided that because ‘American Idol’ was a family show, that they could not have me on the show because of the pictures I had taken – though they had never seen the pictures,” she recalled.

“I gave them the benefit of the doubt,” Davis said, resolved during the incident. “And when I learned that pictures had surfaced of this young lady, I didn’t really think anything of it. But when it came out that they had decided they were not going to kick her off the show, that – to say the least – raised an eyebrow.”

There’s several scenerios that suggest there’s a double standard here:

Frenchie’s photos, while topless, were modeling lingerie, Davis is plus size, Antonella’s were flicks that the aspiring singer’s BFF claims were taken for her BF. A.B is thin; and then there’s the fact that Frenchie is black, and Antonella is white.

Project Islamic Hope activist Najee Ali has taken up the singer’s cause and organized an “Anti ‘American Idol’ Rally” in support of Davis.

“We feel a coalition of leaders [should] meet with Fox and ‘American Idol’ producers to set some guidelines down because they can’t have a rule for white contestants and have different rule for black contestants,” Ali said. “It’s obvious that it’s a racial bias … when you have a situation where a black contestant is punished and a similar situation happens to a white contestant and there is no punishment and they’re allowed to continue on the show.”

The rally and press conference will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11 am in front of the Kodak Theater in Hollywood where the show is broadcast. Ali will be joined by season one “Idol” producer Tarvenia Jones, Davis (via phone), and Davis’ manager Belinda Foster.

Just as Davis went on with her life after being booted from the show, she says that while she will speak out on the issue, she will continue to pursue her goals.

“This is my career and this is what I want to do long term,” she said. “I’m certainly not interested in pissing people off, but this is an unfairness that can’t’ be ignored.”

Playboy bound American Idol contestant (yep, she’s still around) poses with a box of “The Original Cheese Weenies,” as her dorm mate waves a vibrator around. And the girls are standing in front of a giant picture of Angelina Jolies boobs.

Laura Saltman of Access Hollywood was at the Playboy Mansion for the party celebrating the season three premiere of the E! channel’s ‘The Girls Next Door’, and asked for the Playboy boss’s take on the Antonella Barba racy photographs online controversy.

After showing Hugh Hefner the photos, he remarked:

“She really looks sexy here.” Asked if he would consider making Antonella an offer to pose for Playboy should she be voted off ‘Idol’ early, Hef answered, “Very real possibility. Yes, absolutely.”

While the producers of American Idol have refused to comment on whether or not the, less racy than originally thought, flicks of finalist Antonella Barba will cost her a shortened “Idol” journey, her BFF Amanda Coluccio says her friend is devastated (she’s not allowed to comment or defend herself until after final elimination).

“She’s been crying. She’s horrified. She’s more upset about what her parents think.”
