A Tron animated series is coming to TV in 2012… what do you think of that?

Elijah Wood will provide his voice to the animated Tron series, which Tron: Legacy screenwriter Eddit Kitsis says, “This animated show will take place from when Flynn is in a safe house. It’s from when Clu takes over the grid to before when Sam comes in. So if you were wondering what was the grid like before that, then watch the show.”

Jonathan Lipnicki Family Guy Joke, Lipnicki Says “All in Good Fun”

Jonathan Lipnicki was on the receiving end of a Family Guy joke during last night’s episode, but Lipnicki isn’t bummed by the hurtful dig.

Jonathan Lipnicki, once that adorable kid in “Jerry Maguire” and “Stewart Little,” was on the receiving end of a Family Guy punchline that called the former child actor ugly.

Lipnicki took to Twitter to clear the air, saying, “Hey guys thanks for the love, but I don’t feel bad about what they said on family guy. It was all in good fun, i’ve worked on that show B4.”

Lipnicki is still a working actor, so no worries that his career has dried up.

Watch the Banksy Simpson opening from last night’s episode of The Simpsons (video). British grafitti artist and political activist Banksy storyboarded and directed The Simpsons opening sequence, which opened up a debate of whether the Banksy opening was brilliant or too dark.

Ricky Gervais explains the concept: “Because Karl goes off on these flights of fancy, these fantastical stories where he personifies chimpanzees, it lends itself so well” to animation. “The worst thing would be if the cartoon made it worse — and I think not only does it not do that, but it brings it to life.”

The Simpsons is heading for another milestone – check out the hit Fox show’s 450th episode on Sunday, January 10, followed by an hour-long Simpsons documentary.

The Simpson’s 450th episode, “Once Upon a Time in Springfield,” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox, followed by a Morgan Spurlock documentary called “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice.”
