Ann Ward won America’s Next Top Model cycle 15 with some fantastic pictures over the competition, but some will argue that Chelse Hersley is more of the complete package.

Ann Ward, a tall drink of water at 6 foot 2 inches, won a spread in Italian Vogue, as well as a cover and feature in the magazine’s insert. Ann also wins representation from IMG and a $100,000 Cover Girl Cosmetics contract.

Adrianne Curry posted the pic to Twitter on June 24, first commenting: “Gonna peal off these sweaty ass clothes and take a much deserved long shower…got some new body wash, cant wait to lather up! twitpic? lol”

Later, Curry posted the shower TwitPic, with the tweet: “I always keep my promises…”

Banks explains, “I said I was going to do it, and here it is! It’s for all the girls and guys who want a lot more FANTASY in their lives … and some fierceness and magic, romance and mystery, crazy and wild adventures, and yeah, some danger too.”

Tyra continues, “It’s my novel called Modelland (pronounced “Model Land”) that takes you to a fantastical place you’ve never seen, or heard about, or read about before … Where dreams come true and life can change in the blink of a smoky eye.”

No details have been revealed about when the book will be released, but Tyra tells her fans, “Modelland has always been a part of my mind and my heart. I’m excited that you’ll be able to read about this magical world that’s been living in my dreams for so many years.”

Anyone else think this screams “lame”?

Tyra Banks says of the new model search contest: “I’ve always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty; through America’s Next Top Model, True Beauty and The Tyra Show I challenge industry and universal standards by featuring and celebrating non-traditional beauty, and stressing that true beauty is both inside and out.”

Tyra explains, “Plus-sized tends to have a negative connotation and I want young girls to realize that what’s considered plus-sized is the average American woman. That woman is healthy, fit and beautiful. Adolescence is such an impressionable time in a young woman’s life, and I hope this contest helps teen girls discover their own beauty from the inside out.”

The winner of Tyra’s plus-sized competition gets a one-year contract with Wilhelmina, plus a magazine cover.

Tyra Banks announced the end of the talk show to People.com, saying, “This will be the last season of The Tyra Show. I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”

Look for the final Tyra Show at the end of its fifth season in the spring.

Not to worry, however, Tyra Banks has other plans – including the launch of film production company Bankable Studios, which aims to bring “positive images of women to the big screen.”

Banks is keeping it fierce: “My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are.”

Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model returns in February, as well as her show “True Beauty.”

Banks took to her web site to thank her fans:

“There’s a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart. And I salute you my amazing family of viewers; without you there never would have been a Tyra Show. I really love you all.”

Adrianne Curry mainly covers up her boobs (new, right? she got breast implants?), but hey, it puts Adrianne in the spotlight for like, a half a second, at least.

Adrianne Curry won the first America’s Next Top Model, then went on to reality shows like The Surreal Life, married that Brady Bunch dude and televised their lives on another lame show. Oh yeah, and Adrianne Curry also posed in Playboy.

Lauren Conrad and Kim Kardashian will not appear on the same episode, with Conrad to appear September 16 and Kardashian to offer up her opinion October 21.
