He really brings an honest quality to American Idol, with a really sincere “aw, shucks” kind of attitude that makes him seem like the nicest guy ever to compete on a reality show. The biggest criticism that many people have about David Cook is that he does alternate arrangements that are not his own – without giving due credit.
