Love or hate Barbara Walters, her annual pre-Oscar special has become part of the Oscar routine.
This year, Barbara Walters’ 27th annual pre-Oscars special will air February 24 at 7 PM (ET) — she’ll be interviewing “Juno” star Ellen Page, Harrison Ford, “Ugly Betty” star Vanessa Williams and “Hannah Montana” herself, Miley Cyrus.
The Barbara Walters Oscar special will air after the Academy Awards on the West Coast.
“Juno” screenwriter Diablo Cody stops by the January 22 David Letterman in this video clip and discusses her Academy Award nomination.

While it’s uncertain if there will be an Academy Awards ceremony due to the writers’ strike, the 2008 Oscar nominations were announced this morning.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) granted a waiver prior to the writers’ strike to allow Film Independent, the Spirit Awards organizer, to hire writers.
