Whoopi Goldberg and performer Sherri Shepherd will r“The View” as permanent co-host when the gap fest returns in the Fall, according to Los Angeles TV insiders. Final negotiations are underway, and an announcement is expected early next week. ABC has declined to comment: “We have nothing to announce right now,” said spokesman Karl Nilsson.
