The writers’ strike is definitely having an impact on shows, and “Lost” is no exception. With the lack of a resolution for writers, the creators of “Lost” may be forced to air a shortened season. The original plan for the show was a return to the air in February – with a full “re-run free” season. With the lack of writers to pen the show, however, the show may have to run the eight episodes that they have already filmed, leaving the remaining eight episodes for the following season. Series creator/exec producer Damon Lindelof has said that the eighth hour is a cliffhanger, so it would work to end the season with that show.
Friday morning, Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave birth to her and her husband’s second child, a boy. The proud father confirmed that both the baby and Elisabeth are healthy, and said, “Elisabeth and I are happy to announce the arrival of our son and we’re thrilled he arrived safely.”
The baby boy weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces at birth, however his name has not yet been revealed. The couple plans on keeping that private until Monday morning when she can call in to her former co-hosts.
“The View” airs Monday through Friday on ABC at 11am, and has co-hosts of various ages and backgrounds, discussing hot topics, entertainment, celebrities, and often have expert interviews.
Thursday’s “wedding” episode of Ugly Betty is anything but boring. While the bride-to-be (Wilhelmina Slater) is sleeping with the bodyguard, maid-of-honor Victoria Beckham is showing up and stealing the show. Oh, and (groom) Bradford Meade’s first wife is not only a prison escapee, but she’s armed and dangerous. Basically, the wedding is a disaster waiting to happen.
But it’s not all bad. Vera Wang makes a guest appearance on the show to sew the bride into her Vera Wang gown. In her own life Betty Suarez has moved in with Henry – even though he’s pregnant with someone else’s child. Evidently Dad feels the same way I do, because it puts a slight strain on the relationship he has with his daughter, even as he excitedly prepares for becoming a citizen.
Unlike other shows in their second year, this one started strong, and hopefully it’ll stay that way.
So Carrie Underwood won two awards, but she’s not the one who actually stole the show. Kellie Pickler (former American Idol Contestant), is the one who truly brought down the house.
Kellie sang her song, “I Wonder” which is about her estranged mother who left when she was only two.
“The song has not only helped me, writing it, performing it every night has been kind of like therapy for me but I think it’s really helped a lot of people who might be going through similar circumstances,” said Kelly on ABC News November 7, 2007.
A “Desperate Housewives” producer says the show will stop production because it has run out of scripts due to the writers strike. Alexandra Cunningham says filming of the show’s tenth episode of the season will finish shooting on Wednesday. Read the rest of this entry »
It’s not just Mario and Karina who moved from dance partners to romantic partners. In a statement that isn’t necessarily a surprise if you saw the chemistry, it was announced that Dancing With The Stars’ Mark Ballas and Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan are indeed involved in a romantic relationship.
