Lisa Whelchel is more than aware of being a teen star – but let’s face it, times have changed a bit since the 80s and Whelchel certainly didn’t have a crazy-ass sister like Britney Spears.

Still, Lisa Whelchel is offering up her support for Jamie Lynn Spears – whatever that’s worth. Whelchel told ABC news:

“I’m very passionate about wanting to speak out on behalf of this young girl. She is a role model, but it’s not her responsibility to be a role model. That’s so much pressure on a 16-year-old.

I’m so proud of her for stepping up and being courageous and taking responsibility for her choices, and I believe she’s being a good role model – a good role model in that situation, to choose to have the baby, and I am supportive of her in that situation.

Lisa Whelchel even had kind words for Jamie Lynn’s mom, Lynne Spears: “We are doing the best we can as moms. We really are. I know that she’s doing the best she can as a mom as well.”

Fans of the 80s series starring George Peppard and Mr. T have long been hoping for an “A-Team” movie. But of course, “The A-Team” movie will need to be updated a bit since it aired on television some 20 years ago. The movie version of “The A-Team” will still feature the four-man team, but this time they will be Iraq war veterans.

Mr. T has already commented that neither he nor any of the original A-Team members will make cameos.

Stephanie Tanner is pregnant. Former ‘Full House’ star/newlywed Jodie Sweetin is expecting a baby with her husband Cody Herpin.

Jodie Sweetin, best known for her role as ‘Stephanie Tanner’ on the ABC series ‘Full House,’ has wed movie set designer Cody Herpin just weeks after meeting him for the first time.

The twenty-five year-old recently admitted to a past crystal methamphetamine addiction. A source tells the National Enquirer, “She believes she’s finally met her soul mate.”

“Dallas:The Movie,” based on the hit 80′s series, could be back on after a series of reported behind the scenes bust-ups Jennifer Lopez quitting the film threatened the film production.

John Travolta has been tapped to portray J.R Ewing and refuses to let the project fall be the waistside:

I’m meeting with a director I won’t name and I think they (producers) want to start in the New Year.”

Brad Pitt is at the top of the list to play He-Man in a new flick based on the popular eighties animated television series.

“They are very keen on Brad for the role. He will have to bulk up though – he is very fit but not to ‘He-Man ‘ proportions,” says a Hollywood snoop.

I will give you a brief overview of what this car has done. It appeared in the last REAL Dukes of Hazzard movie, “Dukes Go To Hollywood”. And under the hood are the autographs of all the living orginial cast members and crew that were on the TV show. It has been on such shows as TV Land, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, etc. It was the car that Warner Brothers used as a template to build all the General Lee’s used on the latest incarnation of the Dukes of Hazzard movie starring Jessica Simpson and Willie Nelson.

Valerie Bertinelli, best known for her 1975-84 sitcom One Day at a Time, is the new face of Jenny Craig.

The 5’2” Bertinelli, who turns 47 this month, vows to lose 30 lbs. by September (from a size 14 to a size Cool. Going public with her goal “is the motivation I need,” Bertinelli says. “I need to do this in front of millions of people so I can’t mess up.”

And, she adds: “It is freeing because I can say it first: I know what you’re thinking – I’m fat.”

Bertinelli says that Alley, who has maintained her 75-lb. downsizing, also offered some advice: “She said, ‘Even if Wolfie [the 16-year-old son of Bertinelli and her ex, Hall of Fame rocker Eddie Van Halen] wants to go to In-N-Out Burger, don’t do it, because paparazzi will photograph you!’ “

The Craig campaign, for which Bertinelli will shoot a new ad every month as she shrinks, represents a major step back into the public eye for the until-now stay-at-home mom whose last big TV role was on Touched by an Angel in 2003.

“Wolf is my priority,” she says of her son. “I was a Hollywood hermit.” Also, she admits, “I didn’t like going up for interviews because I didn’t want to hear how fat I am.”

Although Bertinelli remains guarded about her current weight – “Tom [Vitale, her boyfriend of nearly three years] doesn’t even know, and he’s not going to until I get down” – she is blunt about her goals.

“I don’t know how my size, 14, has become obese while size 0 is normal,” she says. “It’s insane. I’m not even going for a size 6. I’ll be happy with a size 8.”

Remember cute little Andy Keaton from “Family Ties?” Well, he isn’t so cute anymore, and he’ll pour whiskey in your eye.

Brian Bonsall, the former child star best known for playing Andy, the youngest member of the Keaton clan on the ’80s-era sitcom Family Ties, was arrested Wednesday in Colorado on suspicion of domestic violence after allegedly going upside the head of his live-in girlfriend.

According to Boulder police, Lindsay Dunavan, 26, reported that Bonsall, 25, poured an alcoholic beverage on her while she was sleeping and, when she tried to leave their apartment, he put her in a chokehold and threw her down on the bed multiple times.

Dunavan called the cops at 6:35 a.m. but, when officers arrived at the scene, Bonsall told them that he had pushed Dunavan in self-defense because she came at him with a steak knife and cut his arm and face, according to the arrest report.

Police spokeswoman Detective Colleen Wilcox told Boulder’s Daily Camera newspaper Thursday that both Bonsall and Dunavan were arrested at first, but that Dunavan was “un-arrested” about an hour later and that authorities are now looking at Bonsall as the “prominent aggressor” in the case.

The actor-turned-punk rocker is looking at two possible counts of felony second-degree assault and misdemeanor false imprisonment and is expected to be formally charged on Tuesday. He is currently being held in Boulder County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Bonsall’s name also turned up in four other Boulder police reports involving allegations of domestic violence and assault, the Daily Camera reported, but further details weren’t available. He was not arrested in any of those instances.

An arrest was made, however, in 2004 when Bonsall was nabbed for drunk driving after police spotted a passenger vomiting out the window of Bonsall’s SUV. When officers asked the Blank Check star if he had had anything to drink, the smooth operator replied, “Plenty.”

Bonsall, whose last TV role came in the 1994 movie “Lily in Winter” and who most recently played with the Boulder punk band Thrasher, also has two other notches on his arrest belt for failing to appear in court to appear on charges of underage drinking in Broomfield and Boulder counties.
