Jaycee Dugard’s mother is showing video of her daughter to appease the media and made a plea to the public to give the family their privacy.

This is the first video of Jaycee Dugard since she was freed from 18 years of captivity, kidnapped when she was just 11 years old and kept in the backyard of sex offender Phillip Garrido’s home.

She is doing well, getting her GED and planning to attend college.

Here’s hoping the media gives the Dugard family the privacy they really need to heal.

Chris Cuomo said that Friday will be his last day with GMA and that he’ll be moving over to 20/20 as co-anchor.

Chris Cuomo says in the video clip:

“I am leaving my position as news anchor tomorrow. I am blessed to be at ‘GMA,’ I thank all of you. Now I have been asked to anchor ’20/20′ with my friend, the great Elizabeth Vargas, and also to cover breaking news and get answers for all the shows on the network. It is a dream job for a journalist like me, but it was also a very difficult decision, because I am leaving a special place and crew and all of you and you are all part of my family. The good news
is you never really leave family.”

Chris Cuomo will be replaced by JuJu Chang on Good Morning America.

George Stephanopoulos is being rumored to replace Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America – look for that announcement later today.

Big changes at GMA!

Last month, Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend Rihanna gave an interview to Diane Sawyer on 20/20 – find out how Brown responds to Rihanna’s details of his abuse.

In the Chris Brown interview, he tells Robin Roberts: “I was wrong for what I did. It’s not something I look over. I’m really sorry for what went down and what happened.”

In response to the Rihanna 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, Chris Brown released a statement to MTV yesterday, in part apologizing for his actions and wishing Rihanna “the best.”

Chris Brown’s statement:

“While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”

The rest of the Rihanna interview will air on 20/20 November 6.

These are Rihanna’s first interviews since the incident. The first part of the interview will be shown on Good Morning America on November 5, followed by a special 20/20 to air on November 6.

Rihanna’s new album, Rated R, comes out this month.

Rihanna tells Diane Sawyer in the interview that Chris Brown was “definitely my first big love.”

About the beating, Rihanna says, “This happened to me … it can happen to anyone.”

As for the photo of a beaten Rihanna that made the rounds, she shares: “That is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of . . . like people were making it into a fun topic . . . and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.”
