Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that there may be life for the canceled CBS series “Moonlight.” Could “Moonlight” find a place on the schedule for Media Rights Capital’s two hours of programming on the CW?
“Moonlight” bosses sent this statement to E! yesterday:
It’s true. We found out about an hour ago that Moonlight has been officially canceled.
We are truly saddened by the news and are sorry that we won’t get the chance to live with our wonderful characters and follow them on their adventures for a second season.
We really want to thank all our loyal fans for their undying love and support of the show. We never would have made it this far without them.
In vampire solidarity…rah, rah!
Gabrielle Stanton & Harry Werksman
This is all very suprising, given the fairly substantial (and very loyal) fan base for “Moonlight.” Fans of the vampire drama have been flooding forums and leaving comments on blogs to voice their displeasure with CBS to axe the series.
Deadline Hollywood Daily’s source said that “there is a chance, only a chance” that Media Rights Capital “may elect to take Moonlight as one of those two hours” of programming on the CW on Sundays.
TV Week, however, seems to have the scoop on those two hours of Media Rights Capital programming on Sundays - and it doesn’t include “Moonlight.”

Moonlight fans are meeting outside the WB and CW offices today at noon. We’ll be outside the main gate at 4000 Warner Blvd., near Pass street, across from the big parking garage. We’ll be wearing Moonlight-related shirts and welcome anyone who wants to come participate

I’m from Portugal, and i started to see moonlight on our “Fox” and i really beg of you, even if CBS has cancelled the show, find another network that wants the series to go on. Moonlight is a great serie with whichi i think that could be a great history complex due to the fact that it remonts to the time of Luis XVI, king of France. So please give us more of Moonlight !!!
The best is yet to come, great series, great actors. Great show, give us more moonlight !!!

It’s a shame that I won’t be seeing Moonlight anymore. I already lost my favorite show (Blood Ties) and then I started whatching Moonlight and fell in love with all the characters and now they cancel that too? I am a writter and an actress, so every time I whatched Moonlight I came up with great ideas for new episodes. It’s a real pity, that’s all I have to say
