Britney Spears apparently made a lasting impression on “How I Met Your Mother” ratings — Brit will return May 12 in the role of Abby, the lovestruck receptionist.

Production for the Britney Spears episode, titled “Everything Must Go,” is currently underway. Watch as Britney Spears’ character and Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney develop a “relationship” to catch Josh Radnor’s Ted.

“How I Met Your Mother” executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said of Britney Spears’ return, “We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again. And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you.”
