Following the events that unfolded last night, including a custody dispute that ended with an “under the influence” Britney Spears being taken to the hospital, the fallen pop star is now on mental lockdown for an evaluation.
The Britney Spears standoff occurred Thursday night when Britney refused to allow her children to go with Kevin Federline – locking herself in a room with her son Jayden while police were called to the scene.
According to People magazine, a source said that Britney Spears’ court-appointed child monitor called the police. The source told People that “She [the child monitor] had already put Preston in the car when Britney locked herself in a room with Jayden. The cops came and got through the door and tied her down to a gurney.”
Britney Spears was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she is expected to be on a 72-hour lockdown for mental evaluation.
The two children, Jayden and Preston, were given to Kevin Federline. Federline’s lawyer will be working this morning to have Britney Spears’ visitation rights removed.
