The sad news of pitchman Billy Mays’ death had many wondering what the cause of death could have been for the 50 year old informercial titan. The Billy Mays autopsy results found that Mays likely died from a pulmonary embolism.

A Tampa, Florida coroner announced the autopsy results today during a press conference, noting that evidence of heart disease was also found.

Specifically, the coronor reported that Billy Mays “had an enlarged heart, a thickening of the wall of the ventricle which takes blood to the heart.” The final autopsy results won’t be known for several weeks.
