Bernie Mac Died; Comedian/Actor Bernie Mac Dead at Age 50
Sad news this morning – comedian and actor Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Bernie Mac is dead at age 50, according to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times.
Bernie Mac’s death comes on the heels of news that Mac was in stable condition following being hospitalized with pneumonia.
Bernie Mac’s cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but a close family friend has confirmed the reports of Mac’s death. Bernie Mac had earlier been admitted to the hospital for pneumonia.
Bernie Mac starred in the Fox television series ”The Bernie Mac Show” and has been seen in the ‘Ocean’s Eleven” films, “Transformers,” “Friday,” as well as many comedy shows (”The Original Kings of Comedy,” “Def Comedy Jam”).
UPDATE: It has now been confirmed that Bernie Mac’s death was due to complications from pneumonia.
