Looks like Ashlee Simpson won’t get another chance to redeem herself on SNL either — she was rumored to be playing musical guest on an upcoming episode, but the sketch series said no because she was “a pain” when she appeared on SNL previously.

Ashlee Simpson’s rep is singing a different tune (or lip synching, as the case may be), saying, “We’re not doing ‘SNL’ because they’re dark the week we are here in April and there were no other opportunities later in the year.”
