When I saw the Artie Lange Hospitalized headlines today, I can’t say I was surprised. It’s not like Artie Lange is the picture of health.

What Artie Lange was hospitalized for is still unclear, as his rep released a rather generic statement:

“We can confirm that Artie is in the hospital. Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor. There will be no further comment.”

Guess we’ll have to see how this plays out.

Artie Lange hasn’t been on Howard Stern’s show since early December and has been canceling stand-up gigs, including one on New Year’s Eve. All tour dates through February have also been canceled, according to his website.
