American Idol Moving One Hour Later to 9 PM

Entertainment Weekly is reporting a time shift for American Idol this season – AI will move one hour later to 9 p.m.
Idol normally aired at 8 p.m., but Fox has bumped the show to 9 p.m. to make room for a new series called “Human Target, starring Mark Valley and Jackie Earle Haley at 8:00.
The new season of American Idol kicks off January 12 at 8 p.m, and airs January 13 and January at 8 p.m. before moving to 9 p.m. on January 27.
